Founded in 1988 by Dr. Kiran Bedi and 15 fellow police officers, Navjyoti India Foundation works to prevent crime by supporting people in need. For over 36 years, the foundation has helped children get an education, empowered women with new skills, and protected the environment in Delhi and Haryana. Their goal is to create a safe and self-reliant society through care and community support.

Role

The Accounts Executive manages project finances to ensure every rupee is used transparently to help the community. You will maintain clear financial records, handle tax compliance, and prepare reports that show donors the direct impact of their contributions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the maintenance of daily books of accounts using Tally software.
  • Manage bank transactions and perform monthly bank reconciliation statements.
  • Coordinate the verification of all bills, vouchers, and financial supporting documents.
  • Execute statutory compliance tasks including TDS deductions and PF/ESI challans.
  • Prepare MIS reports and financial statements for internal teams and external donors.
  • Monitor project budgets to ensure spending aligns with approved plans.
  • Manage vendor payments and maintain organized statutory records.
  • Recommend necessary purchases and recruitments within the set budget limits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com/M.Com).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience handling project accounting specifically within the NGO sector.
  • Fluent in English and Hindi to coordinate with various stakeholders.
  • Advanced technical skills in Tally (Cost Centers, GST, Journal Entries) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication skills to explain financial data to non-finance project teams.
  • Must own a two-wheeler and possess a valid license for occasional field visits.
  • Good typing speed with minimal errors.
