When 12th-pass rural women finish school, career options narrow to traditional vocations. Sajhe Sapne opens up an entirely different path. Through year-long Mini-MBA programmes at district Sapna Centres, young women train for management roles in non-traditional fields. They learn entrepreneurial skills, gain technical expertise, and launch careers that challenge the "silai-kadai-bunai" stereotype. The result? Sapnewaalis who shift workplace norms and household expectations alike. By 2030, the organisation aims to ensure 20% of young village women in Madhya Pradesh are steadily learning and earning for at least a year after school.
Role
You'll architect the systems and processes that bring Sajhe Sapne's new Bhopal centre to life, from identifying the perfect location to ensuring every Sapnewaali's journey is smooth and documented.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end setup of the new Sapna Centre, from location identification to operational readiness, partnering with local organisations and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Build community relationships with families, SHGs, schools and local leaders; conduct field visits to mobilise potential Sapnewaalis
- Oversee the complete admissions process, including documentation, background verification and due diligence for all students
- Design, implement and streamline operational systems; develop SOPs and monitoring frameworks for scalability
- Negotiate with vendors, manage stakeholder relationships and work with the finance team to optimise budgets
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of experience
- Ability to nurture genuine relationships and manage diverse conversations and expectations
- Comfortable taking feedback and working with ownership
- Fluency in English and Hindi (spoken and written)
- Knowledge of the nonprofit sector, rural communities or women empowerment organisations is a plus
