Role

The Advisor, Communications & User Experience will lead the strategic communication and outreach function for iGOT Karmayogi — Government of India's flagship digital learning platform for civil servants. As a senior leadership team member reporting to the CEO, you will shape the platform's institutional narrative, manage stakeholder communication across 90+ government departments, and drive visibility and adoption of Mission Karmayogi at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with mission objectives and government priorities.
  • Build a clear narrative and messaging framework to communicate vision, outcomes, and impact to diverse audiences.
  • Own stakeholder communication architecture across central ministries, state governments, and implementing agencies.
  • Prepare communication material for senior government leadership including briefs, speeches, and presentations.
  • Design awareness and adoption campaigns for KB initiatives among target stakeholders.
  • Manage KB's digital channels including website and social media platforms; ensure compliance with GoI guidelines.
  • Create digital content such as infographics, short videos, case studies, and newsletters.
  • Convert platform metrics and programme data into compelling visual narratives for leadership briefings.
  • Coordinate with PIB and media partners for press releases, interviews, and public announcements.
  • Establish branding and communication guidelines; set up review and approval workflows for external communications.
  • Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing communications team including content writers, designers, and digital media professionals.
  • Manage external agencies for creative, media, and production work.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Policy, Public Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 12–15 years of professional experience in communications, public affairs, or strategic outreach; at least 5 years in a leadership or team management role.
  • Experience working with Government of India programmes, development sector initiatives, or large-scale govtech platforms preferred.
  • Familiarity with GoI communication protocols, PIB processes, and MyGov/social media guidelines for government handles is an advantage.
  • Strong command of English; proficiency in Hindi is highly desirable given the stakeholder base.
  • Certifications in Public Relations, Crisis Communication, or Digital Marketing are desirable.
