Its work spans analysing civic space trends, advocating for open and democratic spaces, and building resilient networks that enable citizens to organise and act. Through initiatives such as the Digital Democracy Initiative and Local Leadership Labs, CIVICUS helps activists navigate closing civic space and secure fairer access to resources, while championing inclusive participation and lasting systems change worldwide.
