PRS is a leading research group with the mission to strengthen India’s democracy by helping Parliament and state assemblies function more effectively. These institutions make laws, hold governments accountable, and allocate public funds. PRS works to provide information and analysis to support these institutions and increase citizen engagement with core democratic processes.
About the Role
Position: Analyst role; Associate Analyst role
Location: Delhi
Reports to: Head of Research
Responsibilities
- Collate and manage data on the working of legislatures and various policies.
- Prepare analytical notes and communicate analysis to a wide audience.
- Use programming languages (Python, Java, C++, or Javascript) for data scraping, analysis, and visualisation.
- May require travel for research and dissemination of research.
Qualifications & Skills
For Data Analyst: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields with 2-3 years of work experience, or a Master’s degree in the same fields.
For Associate Analyst: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields. Candidates with other backgrounds but meeting skill requirements are also encouraged to apply.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to multi-task and deliver quality work in a timely manner.
