Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (CHAI) is a global health organization focused on saving lives and reducing the burden of disease in low-and middle-income countries. Founded in 2002 in response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic, CHAI works closely with governments and the private sector to improve health systems. Over the years, CHAI has expanded its focus to include infectious diseases such as COVID-19, malaria, tuberculosis, and hepatitis, as well as non-communicable diseases like cancer, diabetes, and hypertension. In India, CHAI partners with the William J Clinton Foundation (WJCF), working alongside the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) to enhance healthcare access across a variety of key areas.
Project Background
The Family Planning and Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services are part of the Indian government’s RMNCHA (Reproductive, Maternal, New-born, Child, and Adolescent Health) program. WJCF supports the Indian government to improve access to comprehensive SRH services, including family planning, abortion care, and maternal health. The SRH team at WJCF collaborates with government bodies, private entities, and other stakeholders to introduce innovative contraceptive methods and alternative service delivery models, including e-commerce platforms and workplace interventions.
About The Role

Role Overview
The Analyst/Senior Analyst will contribute to designing and implementing programs aimed at increasing the uptake of family planning services in both public and private sectors. The role involves conducting research, managing stakeholders, and supporting data analysis. The position requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to improving health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Primary & Secondary Research
- Conduct desk research on SRH and family planning guidelines.
- Analyze data from various sources (e.g., government reports, studies).
- Conduct interviews with stakeholders such as medical providers and regulators.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Assist in drafting implementation plans, cost strategies, and surveys.
- Develop project tracking tools and support data analytics workstreams.
- Coordinate outputs related to project execution, reporting, and compliance.
- Engage with CHAI’s global team for updates on family planning programs in other countries.
Design & Conduct Impact Assessments
- Develop monitoring frameworks for pilot interventions.
- Design surveys to gather feedback on awareness and accessibility of family planning services.
- Analyze survey data to improve awareness and knowledge of SRH among different demographics.
Supplier & Retail Landscape Assessment
- Analyze the landscape of suppliers and retailers involved in SRH products.
- Support the development of strategies to address supply chain gaps.
Additional Responsibilities
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in the SRH ecosystem (donors, partners, government officials).
- Support the Manager in planning and implementing multiple activities.
- Contribute to scoping new opportunities and writing proposals for new grants.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, OR
- Postgraduate degree in Public Health, Economics, Sociology, or a related field with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with advanced data analysis tools is a plus.
- Key Skills:
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and synthesize technical information into reports and presentations.
Additional Preferences
- Experience with India’s healthcare landscape, especially in SRH and abortion services.
- Experience in management consulting, pharmaceuticals, or related sectors.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to solve complex problems independently.
- Familiarity with the Indian public health system and government stakeholders.
