Role

Dasra is seeking an Analyst – Urban Sanitation to support its WASH portfolio, including the NFSSM Alliance, which brings together governments, funders, and leading sector experts. This role is designed for early-career professionals with 2–4 years of experience who want to contribute to inclusive urban sanitation and development across India. The Analyst will work on research, stakeholder engagement, and program delivery to strengthen collaborative action toward safe and sustainable sanitation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver assigned workstreams, from planning and execution to reporting and impact tracking.
  • Support engagement with government bodies, funders, and partner organisations to advance team priorities.
  • Drive the planning and execution of Alliance convenings and task forces, ensuring follow-through on outcomes.
  • Produce evidence-based outputs such as briefs, memos, and presentations through structured research and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal Dasra teams for cross-functional delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Contribute to team learning, operations, and mentoring of junior colleagues.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in consulting, WASH, ecosystem building, or stakeholder-driven roles.
  • Strong project and time management skills, able to deliver independently across multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience engaging with government or multi-stakeholder environments is desirable.
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • Motivated self-starter with a passion for urban development.

Good to Have:

  • Experience in primary or secondary research and data analytics.
  • Familiarity with urban governance, sanitation, or climate resilience.
  • Exposure to donor engagement or fundraising processes.
