Role

ICRW Asia is seeking an experienced researcher to lead its growing body of work at the intersection of gender, climate change, and social justice. This role combines thought leadership, program direction, and knowledge creation. Ideal for someone driven to influence policy and practice with rigorous, evidence-based insights. The role is initially project-linked, renewable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead research design, execution, and publication on gender and climate resilience.
  • Drive fundraising, proposal development, and donor engagement.
  • Oversee project teams, budgets, and partnerships under the gender-climate portfolio.
  • Build visibility through policy dialogues, conferences, and publications.
  • Mentor junior researchers, strengthening team expertise in climate-gender integration.

Requirements

  • PhD with 10+ years (or Masters with 12+ years) in Gender Studies, Environmental Studies, or related field.
  • Proven leadership in research and program management on gender and climate.
  • Strong record of publications, advocacy, and donor engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply feminist and intersectional methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and team leadership skills.
