Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager- NGO Relations

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra
Experience: 4 - 6 Years in the development sector
Compensation: ₹50,000 to ₹1,03,000 /month

Role

This position serves as a bridge between the organization and its grassroots partners, focusing on identifying high-impact social projects and strengthening the network of NGOs to drive meaningful change.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mapping of the development sector to identify best practices and potential project synergies.
• Manage a comprehensive pan-India database of prospective partners and thematic projects.
• Conduct thorough due diligence and guide new partners through the onboarding and registration process.
• Coordinate as the primary point of contact for NGO partners to build strong, long-term relationships.
• Liaise with organizations to design projects and develop high-quality proposals.
• Monitor project deliverables and impact through regular site visits and program reviews.
• Identify capacity-building needs for partners and facilitate training to improve their effectiveness.

Requirements

• Masters in Social Work, Development Studies, or Social Sciences preferred.
• 4 to 6 years of professional experience specifically within the development sector.
• Fluent in spoken English and Hindi, with excellent written English skills.
• High level of attention to detail and ability to manage complex data.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel within and outside Mumbai for field visits and project monitoring.
