Role

The Assistant Manager – Projects is responsible for the delivery and management of programs within the Bagepalli region. This is a field intensive role requiring approximately 70% of time spent on-site to oversee implementation, monitor partners, and engage with government stakeholders and community members.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct community assessments and field visits to identify specific needs for local interventions.
  • Plan and implement ongoing programs ensuring they meet approved timelines and goals.
  • Mobilize community members to encourage local ownership and long-term sustainability of projects.
  • Supervise vendors and contractors to ensure the quality and timely delivery of program outcomes.
  • Maintain relationships with local government officials and administrative bodies to secure necessary approvals.
  • Work with the Monitoring and Evaluation team to execute frameworks for impact assessment.
  • Document project activities, case studies, and success stories according to standard operating procedures.
  • Facilitate corporate donor visits and employee volunteering activities at project sites.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure compliance with financial guidelines and donor requirements.

Requirements

  • A Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • 7 to 8 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years specifically in project operations within the development or CSR sector.
  • Strong understanding of community development and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in both Kannada and English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively between corporate partners, NGOs, and government departments.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar platforms for project documentation and approvals is preferred.
