Spark-A-Change Foundation

Spark-A-Change Foundation is an 11-year-old Mumbai-based NGO dedicated to helping children from underserved backgrounds. We believe every child deserves a bright future, which is why we provide holistic educational support through in-school and after-school programs. With the help of over 150 dedicated volunteers and teachers, we currently support more than 3,000 students, focusing on their growth, values, and academic success.

Role

The Associate – Communications will be the voice of our foundation. The purpose of this role is to capture the heart of our work on the ground and share it with the world. You will create engaging content, manage our digital presence, and build strong relationships with our donors and community to help us grow our impact.

Responsibilities

  • Create, design, and manage visual and written content across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and our website.
  • Network with donors, students, and volunteers to collect inspiring stories and testimonials.
  • Prepare engaging newsletters, blogs, articles, and annual reports that reflect our mission.
  • Manage and update the organization’s website and YouTube channels.
  • Maintain a digital database for all photos, videos, and communication resources.
  • Design and run campaigns to build awareness and support fundraising efforts.
  • Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to increase the visibility of our work.
  • Coordinate with on-ground teams to gather high-quality photos and videos of our programs.
  • Support the fundraising team by updating content on various giving platforms.

Requirements

  • A graduate degree in any field with up to 2 years of experience in design or communications.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and design tools like Canva, Adobe, or Photoshop.
  • Experience in website management and basic video editing.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Hindi.
  • A self-driven individual who takes ownership of tasks and meets deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and think creatively to solve problems.
  • Hybrid - requires travel within the city
