Role

The Block Coordinator supports program execution and community mobilisation at the block level, strengthening governance among vulnerable tribal populations. This position is ideal for someone passionate about grassroots engagement and sustainable tribal development.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating and implementing development initiatives with local stakeholders
  • Facilitate community engagement, mobilisation, and awareness on health, education, and welfare topics
  • Support training programs for local volunteers and staff capacity building
  • Collect and manage project data, track progress, and assist in reporting
  • Promote participation of tribal communities in governance processes such as Gram Sabha

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years governance-related experience, preferably with tribal Gram Sabha work
  • Relevant qualification in social work, rural development, or similar disciplines
  • Proficient in Hindi and English; knowledge of tribal dialects is beneficial
  • Strong communication, organisational, and community engagement skills
  • Proactive attitude with ability to work independently and as part of a team
