Lupin Human Welfare and Research Foundation
Lupin Human Welfare & Research Foundation serves as the social responsibility arm of Lupin Limited. For over three decades, the foundation has worked to build sustainable livelihood opportunities in some of India's most underdeveloped districts. Their work has reached over 2 million people across more than 5,400 villages. They use a family-centered approach to help communities break the cycle of poverty and trigger local economic growth. The foundation is currently running the Lives Program, which focuses on the prevention, early detection, and management of non-communicable diseases at the community level.
Role
You will serve as the primary link between the foundation and the community for the Lives Program. Your work will focus on coordinating efforts to prevent and manage non-communicable diseases within your assigned block. You will work closely with government health systems and community institutions to ensure that screening, referrals, and counseling services effectively reach the people who need them most.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute block-level plans for disease prevention and early detection in coordination with the District Manager.
- Monitor daily program activities to ensure they adhere to defined guidelines and protocols.
- Collaborate with community leaders and health workers to organize awareness campaigns and screening drives.
- Manage logistics for training sessions designed for healthcare professionals, frontline workers, and volunteers.
- Coordinate screening camps and work with community mobilizers to ensure patients receive proper referrals.
- Facilitate timely follow-up and counseling for individuals to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate records of program data and submit regular progress reports to the district team.
- Build partnerships with local health facilities, government departments, and NGOs to align activities with public health goals.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Development Studies, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in public health, preferably with a focus on non-communicable diseases.
- Strong understanding of local health systems, government programs, and community dynamics.
- Ability to communicate fluently in local languages to engage effectively with the community.
- Proficiency in data management and basic computer applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
