Job Brief:
The Build for Bharat Fellowship is a summer program designed to immerse India's top engineering, data, cybersecurity, and design students in real-world, high-impact technology projects within government agencies. Fellows will gain hands-on experience solving governance challenges, working at the intersection of technology, public policy, and service delivery.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Real-World Problem-Solving
- Work on live digital projects in government agencies to improve governance and public services.
- Develop scalable, impactful solutions in domains such as GIS, Cybersecurity, Data, Engineering, Product Management, and Design.
- Apply cutting-edge technology to solve real-life challenges affecting millions of people.
2. Public Technologist Orientation
- Participate in a structured orientation covering public sector technology, governance systems, and policy frameworks.
- Understand why large-scale tech solutions succeed or fail in governance contexts.
- Learn to design resilient, responsible, and ethical tech solutions for public good.
3. Expert Mentorship & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Engage with top mentors from leading tech firms, academia, and the public sector.
- Work in interdisciplinary teams to tackle governance technology challenges.
- Gain exposure to data-driven decision-making and policy integration.
4. External Representation
- Present solutions and findings to government officials, policymakers, and industry experts.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions with partners and stakeholders.
