With a strong presence across 22 states, Magic Bus works with a large network of schools and community centres, with a focus on gender inclusion.

Role

You will manage the Livelihood program at the district level, leading a team to deliver skills training and ensure successful job placements for youth. This role involves managing centre resources, staff, and local partnerships to achieve program targets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage budgets, centres, staff, and local partners to deliver the Livelihood program.
  • Lead and manage the performance of the Livelihood program staff team.
  • Achieve targets for mobilisation, skills training, and placement in work or education.
  • Support staff in conducting needs assessments and creating personal development plans for each youth.
  • Provide high quality career counselling and guidance to empower youth.
  • Oversee community need assessments and mapping of local stakeholders.
  • Ensure staff have the right tools and training to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor data to improve the quality of work with youth.
  • Identify and respond to risks that could lead to youth dropping out of the program.
  • Work with employers to create local placement opportunities.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with other skills training providers.
  • Manage mentoring arrangements, including matching youth with mentors.

Requirements

  • Graduation in any stream.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the Skill Development sector, with 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of MIS and computer skills.
  • Ability to multi task and manage people and time effectively.
  • Strong people and communication skills, with a good level of professional English.
  • Ability to follow processes and use specific tools consistently.
  • Excellent team worker with a can do attitude and problem solving initiative.
  • Well organised with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to collect and process data to track key performance indicators.
