Magic Bus runs large-scale livelihood and entrepreneurship programmes for young people from underserved communities through 50+ skilling centres and entrepreneurship development initiatives. The organisation focuses on employment-linked training, market-based skilling, and supporting micro-entrepreneurs with hands-on business development guidance.

Role

The role involves planning, leading, and managing the rollout, operations, monitoring, and evaluation of Skilling and Entrepreneurship Development Programmes across assigned centres within the designated city or cluster.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the RLH and Regional Operations Manager to plan and manage Skilling and EDP programmes.
  • Ensure timely achievement of project deliverables including mobilisation, enrolments, placements, and job retention.
  • Lead labour-market assessments and propose strategies for programme alignment and expansion.
  • Manage identification and setup of new project locations within timelines and standards.
  • Conduct continuous monitoring and evaluation for programme health and course correction.
  • Lead mobilisation, outreach, placement, and employer-connect activities.
  • Mentor and coach staff across assigned centres for performance and adherence to policies.
  • Ensure accuracy, governance, hygiene indicators, and compliance across centres.
  • Oversee data accuracy, MIS reporting, and periodic reporting for the city/cluster.
  • Liaise with local stakeholders including funders, employers, and partner agencies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams across functions.
  • Lead special initiatives and regional projects as delegated.
  • Innovate for improved programme quality, delivery, and staff performance.

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of total experience with at least 3 years managing multiple skilling centres.
  • Post-graduate degree in Management, MSW, Social Sciences, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of CSR, NSDC, DGT, and industry-based skill ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of labour-market trends, industry clusters, wages, and skill requirements.
  • Experience across mobilisation, screening, counselling, training, placement, post-placement support, and reporting.
  • Understanding of emerging jobs, sector trends, and competency shifts.
  • Knowledge of digital, hybrid, and offline employment-exchange models.
  • Experience in market scanning and employer relationship building.
  • Strong project management, operations, communication, and staff-management skills.
  • Highly tech-savvy and comfortable with MIS and reporting.
  • Ability to work under pressure, influence stakeholders, and adapt to organisational change.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
