The Centre for Science and Technology Policy (CSTEP) is looking for a Communication Officer – Visual Design to join their Communication and Policy Engagement team in Bengaluru.
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and discuss design ideas with research teams.
- Interpret scientific data and present it through infographics.
- Design layouts for reports, brochures, presentations, web pages, and posters.
- Create digital posts, banners, and infographics for social media.
- Design materials like banners and brochures for events.
- Stay updated on design trends.
- Ensure designs align with the organisation’s branding guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in visual communication, graphic design, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in visual communication.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of tools like Figma, Canva, Mailchimp, and Miro.
- Sketching skills in mediums such as pencil, watercolour, dry pastels, and colour pencils.
- Attention to detail in layout, colour, fonts, and printing techniques.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
