Established in 1999 in Chennai, REACH is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to the fight against Tuberculosis (TB) and the improvement of public health systems in India. REACH works as a bridge between the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP), the private healthcare sector, and the community to ensure that every person affected by TB has access to high-quality care and support.

Role

A creative and coordination-heavy role focused on managing the daily internal and external storytelling of the organization to amplify its impact on public health.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of a comprehensive organizational communications strategy.
  • Handle all internal and external messaging, including mailers, annual reports, and publications.
  • Develop and manage engaging content updates across all social media channels.
  • Design in-house posters, educational materials, and short films for various health projects.
  • Coordinate with project teams nationwide to identify and document powerful human-interest stories.
  • Liaise with external designers, agencies, and production houses for specialized tasks.
  • Draft press releases and maintain active relationships with media representatives.

Requirements

  • University degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in print, broadcast, or interactive digital media.
  • Prior experience working on public health projects is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage digital platforms and implement strategic social media campaigns.
  • Exceptional writing skills in English with the ability to produce high-quality first drafts.
  • Strong design aesthetics and proficiency in using Canva or similar design software.
  • Fluent in Hindi (essential); knowledge of Tamil is a significant asset.
  • Basic knowledge of video editing software is preferred.
  • High ethical standards and a transparent, collaborative working style.
  • Willingness to travel across India for fieldwork and story collection.
