SNEHA is a Mumbai-based non-profit working to improve the health, nutrition, and safety of women and children in urban informal settlements. Role

Provide vital mental health support through screening, identification, and treatment planning for adolescents. You will bridge the gap between schools and communities by integrating mental health interventions into youth-focused programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mental health screenings for adolescents in schools and community centers to identify those needing support.
  • Coordinate with teachers and parents to provide psychoeducation and capacity building on student mental health.
  • Manage and supervise counselling sessions conducted by youth peer educators and barefoot counsellors.
  • Build the capacity of internal staff to deliver sessions on emotional resilience and stress management.
  • Plan and implement appropriate clinical interventions for identified mental health concerns.
  • Maintain detailed case documentation and assessment reports according to organizational formats.
  • Collaborate with health post staff and local stakeholders to strengthen the mental health ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
  • 0–3 years of experience in psychotherapeutic practice (freshers with strong clinical interest are welcome).
  • Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Marathi is essential for community engagement.
  • Strong technical skills in mental health screening, data analysis, and treatment planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Deep interest in adolescent health policies and urban community dynamics.
  • Ability to travel within Mumbai and manage time flexibly.
