The Association for PARIVARTAN of Nation (APNA) is a passionate non-profit organisation based in Jharkhand, dedicated to turning rights-based laws into real change on the ground. Founded in 2019 by a group of legal experts, social researchers, educators, and grassroots activists, APNA works tirelessly to connect legal entitlements with the communities that need them most.
What sets APNA apart is its commitment to seeing marginalised people not as mere aid recipients, but as active rights-holders shaping their own futures. By combining law, governance, technology, and community engagement, APNA acts as a vital bridge — transforming complex legal rights into accessible, enforceable realities.
Started from the frontlines of social exclusion, APNA’s founders understood that laws on paper often fail to reach those they are meant to protect. APNA’s mission is rooted in enabling sustainable access to justice and basic rights by growing legal awareness, encouraging civic participation, and embedding accountability in government systems.
Today, APNA stands as a unique decentralised platform empowering vulnerable groups including tribal communities, Dalits, Pasmanda Muslims, students with disabilities, and economically weaker sections. Through evidence-driven research and advocacy, APNA continues to inspire collective action and create waves of systemic change.
Role
Are you passionate about storytelling and social impact? APNA is looking for a freelance content writer—ideal for students or emerging writers—to transform real-life stories from underprivileged communities into compelling scripts, blogs, and visual content. This is an exciting chance to write for change, work remotely, and gain hands-on experience in rights-based storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Create emotionally impactful 1–2 minute video scripts from recorded interview bites of families.
- Write one story daily (about 30–50 stories total) based on field team inputs, focusing on social impact.
- Assist in designing engaging newsletters, reports, and story cards using Canva or similar tools.
Requirements
- Strong writing skills with empathy-driven storytelling ability.
- Familiarity with Canva or equivalent design software.
- Comfortable working with real-life narratives and field notes.
- Interest in social impact, child rights, and advocacy work.
