Role
The Coordinator Finance manages project budgets and ensures financial accuracy for assigned programs. You will bridge the gap between financial planning and ground-level execution, ensuring that funds are used effectively to support SNEHA’s mission.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monitoring of project budgets against actual expenses to ensure financial discipline.
- Track monthly budget utilization and discuss any variances with project teams.
- Authorize payment vouchers up to ₹10,000 within Tally and internal trackers.
- Manage quarterly reconciliations of earmarked funds for specific donors.
- Oversee monthly reconciliations for staff advances, vendor payments, and prepaid expenses.
- Coordinate the allocation of shared costs including insurance, PF, and annual maintenance.
- Verify all digital Tally entries against physical vouchers on a monthly basis.
- Conduct finance inductions for new team members to ensure compliance with internal processes.
- Compile necessary documentation and records for funder-specific audits.
- Support the Finance Supervisor in refining financial compliance and reporting systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce or Financial Management.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Finance, with at least 3 years in a similar coordinator level role.
- Prior experience in the non-profit or social sector is highly preferred.
- Strong command of Tally ERP 9 and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles and statutory compliances.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for team coordination.
- Proven ability to manage teams, delegate tasks, and solve problems effectively.
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple project budgets simultaneously.
