They partner with the government and local communities to improve public health systems at scale. Their approach is twofold: helping the government deliver better care and empowering communities to seek better health outcomes. Currently, their Digital Public Health Program is building new systems to support this mission using tools like WhatsApp, automation, and data driven insights.

Role

You will build the technical backbone for the next generation of digital health systems in India. This role involves designing data pipelines and integrating conversational AI to create tools that work effectively for health workers and communities, even in areas with limited resources.

Responsibilities

Design data architectures that connect common tools like Excel with cloud databases such as PostgreSQL and BigQuery.
Build workflows to move, process, and retrieve data across different systems.
Create AI pipelines using Large Language Models to handle reasoning and predictive insights.
Develop voice based tools, including speech to text and text to speech, optimized for Hindi and regional languages.
Manage vector databases to help AI models understand context and retrieve accurate information.
Translate complex backend data into clear, usable insights for dashboards, chatbots, and health workers.
Collaborate with program teams to ensure AI models are ethical and practical for real world public health needs.
Establish strong standards for data security and system monitoring.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
3–6 years of experience in backend engineering, data engineering, or AI product development.
Strong proficiency in Python, including libraries like Pandas and LangChain.
Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, BigQuery, and vector databases.
Familiarity with AI tools such as Gemini API and prompt design.
Knowledge of speech technology components like ASR and TTS.
Hands on experience with Google Cloud Platform and container workflows using Docker.
Ability to visualize data using tools like Power BI, Looker Studio, or Streamlit.
