About the Role
Location: Delhi
Deadline: 5 PM IST on 14th March 2025
Envirocatalysts is looking for a skilled Data Analyst to support its mission of shaping India's energy, air pollution, and industrial decarbonization trajectory. This role is ideal for a proactive and self-motivated individual with strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to air quality, energy, and industrial decarbonization.
- Write scripts in Python and R for data scraping, analysis, and visualization.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and databases for real-time data tracking.
- Create compelling data visualizations, reports, and presentations to communicate insights.
- Identify emerging trends in environmental and energy data to inform research and policy recommendations.
- Support research projects aimed at improving air quality, enabling a just energy transition, and facilitating industrial decarbonization.
- Represent Envirocatalysts at external conferences, meetings, and media interactions.
- Assist with additional tasks as required by the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
Required
- Proficiency in Python, R, and Git for data analysis and visualization.
- Strong research and analytical skills with experience in environmental, energy, or emissions data.
- Ability to extract meaningful insights and narratives from complex datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Minimum two years of experience in data analysis, including scraping, cleaning, and visualization (exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered).
- Master’s degree in environmental studies, energy, economics, data science, or a related field.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and deliver results.
Preferred
- Experience using Canva and Flourish for designing data visualizations.
- Expertise in air quality, energy transition, and industrial decarbonization research.
