About the Role
Position: Data Analyst (Digital Methods)
Contract: 12 months
Location: Remote (based in established geographies, aligned with UK, USA, Sub-Saharan Africa & India time zones)
Closing Date: Friday, 22nd November 2024
With a newly re-platformed data architecture, Girl Effect is embarking on exciting projects across various geographies, including:
- Research in new regions like Kenya.
- Impact evaluations in India, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and South Africa.
- Monitoring digital product performance.
- Creative and content testing for user engagement.
- Longitudinal evaluations and experimental approaches.
As a Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our data processes, collaborating with teams globally, and ensuring effective use of data for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver custom Power BI dashboards for teams such as Marketing, E&I, and Fundraising.
- Analyse product and program data to assess user interactions and impact.
- Perform data manipulation, cleaning, and statistical analysis using tools like Azure and Python.
- Oversee databases and data warehousing using Azure.
- Continuously adopt new tools to enhance data processes.
- Present data analyses to diverse teams, providing actionable insights.
Organizational Contributions
- Model Girl Effect’s values and professional standards.
- Support organizational and team objectives.
- Ensure compliance with Girl Effect’s policies (e.g., equality, health & safety, data protection).
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree or equivalent qualification (preferred).
- Extensive experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
- Expertise in Python (pandas), SQL, Azure, and Power BI.
- Familiarity with digital analytics platforms like Facebook Analytics or Google Analytics.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proven ability to present data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Cultural sensitivity and experience working in diverse, multicultural teams.
