About the Role
Responsibilities
Overall Programme Support
- Collaborate closely with state team members to understand their tech program needs.
- Serve as a link between the state team and the central EdTech team.
- Update the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) system on Kobo for state programs and coordinate with Karnataka program SPOCs.
- Participate in state internal M&E calls and relay discussion points from the HUB team.
- Keep the state program team informed on EdTech processes.
M&E and Data Management
- Ensure accurate data on the admin panel by working with the state team.
- Collaborate with the M&E team to present precise data on dashboards.
- Build partners’ capacity on data input tools and admin panels.
- Orient and support internal teams, including State program members, Associates, Fellows, and Interns, on data Standard Operating Procedures (SoP).
- Assist regional and project teams in compiling data for reporting purposes.
- Support baseline, endline, or other data collection activities.
- Contribute to research, program evaluation, and impact assessments.
Tech Support for Master Coach, QUESTApp, and Digital Content
- Troubleshoot technical issues on the QUESTApp, Change Leaders platform, WhatsApp bot, hardware, and networking.
- Follow SoP to manage user registration, modification, and de-registration on QUESTApp.
- Provide support for pilot testing and regional implementation of tech solutions.
- Collaborate with internal and external parties to enhance capacity on QUESTApp and Change Leaders platform.
Chatbot Management & Support
- Upload new content and maintain the chatbot for teachers and students.
- Report bugs and ensure their resolution.
- Prepare the data stream pipeline for integration into ETL and visualization systems.
Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS)
- Ensure 100% uptime of the IVRS portal.
- Prepare the data pipeline for visualization and reporting.
IT & Hardware Support
- Assemble, refurbish, and deploy Raspberry Pi (Learn Pi) devices.
- Support QA team members in setting up IT labs at project sites.
- Guide NGO partners in troubleshooting tech-related issues.
- Manage ticketing systems to resolve technical issues within the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Create installation manuals and guides for partner stakeholders.
Vendor Management
- Create and maintain a vendor database for IT audits, laptop rentals, and IT materials.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Proficiency in handling worksheets and databases.
- Experience in managing applications (front-end and back-end).
- Hands-on IT skills, including basic coding knowledge.
- Strong interest in integrating technology into education.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
Technical Skills (Must-Have)
- Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Raspberry Pi boards, Raspbian OS, and MySQL database management.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other teams.
Technical Skills (Good-to-Have)
- Experience with GNU/Linux (Ubuntu and Debian) server management.
- Knowledge of Linux bash commands and Cron jobs.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting software, hardware, and network issues.
- Experience in data visualization.
Other Skills
- Good communication skills in English and Kannada.
- Strong problem-solving and documentation/reporting abilities.
- Enthusiastic team player who is flexible, self-motivated, and passionate about data management.
