What is the Data Centre?
The Data Centre supports the Foundation and Azim Premji University by providing data and analytical services. It serves as a repository for socio-economic data, including a special Census data research workstation. The Data Centre works with data related to education, health, livelihood, agriculture, and climate.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis: Produce high-quality data analysis using various tools and techniques.
- Research Summaries: Create clear and readable research summaries, reports, and notes.
- Knowledge of Policies: Have a strong understanding of Indian government policies, programs, and budgets.
Required Skills and Experience
Educational Background: Master’s degree or higher in Economics, Data Science, Econometrics, or Statistics.
Experience: 3-4 years of experience in data science, particularly in the social sector.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in SPSS or STATA (mandatory).
- Advanced skills in MS Excel.
- Knowledge of database management.
- Familiarity with socio-economic datasets like NSS, Economic Census, Agriculture Census, and Education Datasets.
- (Optional) Experience with R or Power BI.
