About the Role
The Deputy Director - Technology will lead Transform Schools’ technological vision and strategy, driving innovation in educational technology to improve learning experiences for students and educators. This role involves scaling programmes through digital tools, partnerships, and compliance with frameworks like India’s National Digital Education Architecture (NDEAR).
Location: New Delhi
Employment Type: Two-year fixed-term contract (renewable)
Compensation: ₹16.5 – 22.5 LPA (Cost to Organisation)
Key Responsibilities
- Technology Strategy: Define roadmaps, integrate digital tools, and develop scalable platforms.
- Technology Deployment: Oversee user-friendly platforms, incorporate AI/ML for insights, and enhance accessibility in low-resource areas.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with government bodies, provide technical guidance, and train stakeholders.
- IT Governance and Operations: Maintain IT systems, enforce security standards, and manage vendor relationships.
- Business Development: Engage donors, represent the organisation at events, and establish partnerships for scaling solutions.
- Thought Leadership: Advocate for technology-driven education at global and national levels.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, or related fields.
- 8-10 years of experience in IT management, software development, and web technologies.
- Expertise in data analytics, cloud-based systems, and application development.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
Competencies
- Technical: Coding, data analytics, and AI/ML integration.
- Leadership: Team-building, stakeholder partnerships, and systems change.
- Execution: Process flow creation and cross-functional collaboration.
