The Museum of Art & Photography (MAP) is one of India’s first major museums of South Asian visual culture. Located in a state-of-the-art 44,000 sq ft building in Bengaluru’s museum district, MAP boasts galleries, an auditorium, a research library, and more. MAP’s mission is to make art and culture accessible to diverse audiences, fostering a museum-going culture. Its collection includes over 60,000 works from various eras and regions, from modern and contemporary art to photography and traditional crafts.
About the Role
MAP is seeking a Designer passionate about art, culture, and inclusive design. You will create engaging visuals and animations, working with diverse stakeholders to bring projects from concept to execution.

Salary: Negotiable based on portfolio and experience
Role Commencement: Immediate
Responsibilities
- Design content that connects with a wide range of audiences.
- Collaborate with different teams and stakeholders to develop design concepts.
- Create visually engaging graphics, illustrations, and animations for both print and digital media.
- Support various graphic and illustrative needs across MAP’s programmes.
Qualifications
- Expertise in design processes, from research to execution.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a range of work in design, illustration, and video with a focus on branding.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, and Google Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with non-designers and work within a team.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in the design industry.
- Previous experience in design studios.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage time effectively.
