Role

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with social impact organisations to understand their technical requirements
- Support deployment & maintenance of FOSS tools like Frappe Framework, ERPNext, Moodle, ODK, Metabase, Bookstack, n8n, Plausible, Mattermost, utpime kuma and Ghost
- Manage DNS settings and security configurations using Cloudflare for secure, reliable web presence
- Set up and maintain cloud instances on AWS and Digital Ocean platforms
- Develop Linux and bash scripting solutions to automate operational workflows
- Configure reverse proxies and web servers for optimal performance and security
- Implement SSL certificate management using Let's Encrypt and Certbot
- Deploy and manage Docker containers for scalable application hosting
- Execute backup strategies and migration processes to ensure data integrity
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive maintenance strategies
- Apply DevOps best practices to enhance deployment processes and system reliability
Requirements
- Strong (0-3 years) experience with Linux systems and bash scripting
- Proficiency in Docker containezisation and orchestration
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Digital Ocean)
- Experience with web server configuration and SSL management
- Familiarity with DNS management and security protocols
- Understanding of backup and recovery procedures
- Basic knowledge of monitoring and alerting systems
- Passion for social impact and technology for good
- Excellent communication skills to work with non-technical stakeholders
- Willingness to mentor grassroots organisations in technical implementation
