Working in close collaboration with governments and communities, Jhpiego implements innovative solutions that address critical healthcare challenges, particularly in resource-limited settings. In India, Jhpiego collaborates with national and state governments, providing technical assistance in family planning, maternal and child health, human resources for health, and non-communicable diseases.

Position Overview:

Jhpiego is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Digital Health & Data Science to join their team in New Delhi. This role is central to developing and executing AI-driven digital health solutions that will significantly impact global health outcomes. The Associate Director will provide subject matter expertise, strategic guidance, and lead the implementation of cutting-edge technologies across Jhpiego’s programs in India.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Relationship Building (20%)
    • Establish and strengthen partnerships with government bodies, donors, and private organizations.
    • Collaborate with global teams to integrate bold solutions and thought leadership into digital health initiatives.
    • Generate new strategic partnerships focused on advancing digital health and AI agendas.
  2. Strategy and Execution (50%)
    • Deliver practical expertise to support project design and implementation of digital health solutions.
    • Lead the development of AI strategies tailored to Jhpiego's mission, focusing on maternal and newborn health, and family planning.
    • Evaluate and implement emerging trends in digital health to enhance Jhpiego’s programs.
    • Collaborate on the development of a strategic roadmap for AI use in Jhpiego, prioritizing initiatives with high impact potential.
  3. Communications & Capacity Building (30%)
    • Develop value propositions and communication strategies to enhance Jhpiego’s visibility in digital health.
    • Create learning resources and lead capacity-building initiatives within the Digital Innovations Unit (DIU).
    • Monitor and respond to bilateral and multilateral trends to position Jhpiego for strategic opportunities.
