Elixir Foundation

Elixir Foundation is an initiative started by Presidential Awardees of the Government of India, built on the belief that socially responsible youth are the most powerful lever for community development. Based in Ahmedabad, the foundation brings together volunteers, corporates, and communities to run programmes across education, sanitation, environment, heritage, and basic welfare.
The work spans two tracks. The first is direct community service: distributing food, clothing, and learning materials; transforming school infrastructure; taking solar lighting to tribal areas; and running cleanliness drives under the Swachh Bharat Mission. The second is youth development: creating opportunities for young people to engage with ground-level problems through volunteering, international programmes, and heritage sensitisation camps. The underlying philosophy is that when young people experience social issues first-hand, they are more likely to act on them for the rest of their lives.
Elixir has executed over 100 CSR programmes with corporate partners, supported more than 16,000 underprivileged students, and touched over 1,00,000 lives. It is one of 55 global organisations selected by UNESCO to work on World Heritage education.

Founded by Presidential Awardees. The founding team carries national recognition for public service, and that credibility shapes the organisation's seriousness of purpose. This is not a casual volunteer club.
Genuine breadth of work. Elixir runs programmes across education, environment, sanitation, tribal welfare, heritage, and disability. For someone who wants to understand the full landscape of community development in India, this is an unusually wide vantage point. The foundation is built around the idea that young people should not just donate money but engage directly with the communities they want to serve. The culture reflects that: energetic, hands-on, and learning-oriented. Being selected as one of 55 global organisations for World Heritage education brings international credibility and opens doors to cross-border learning and collaboration. With over 100 CSR programmes executed across corporate partners, staff and volunteers get exposure to how civil society and the private sector can work together effectively.
