About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our R&D team on-site in Ladakh. The role focuses on developing and optimising software solutions for embedded systems that monitor weather and manage water resources in remote mountain regions. Reporting to Dr. Suryanarayanan, you will lead a small team, creating applications to control sensor-based devices, valves, and data acquisition systems. This role requires relocating to Leh by end of January.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop software for embedded systems to regulate water resources and monitor environmental conditions.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, debugging, and performance optimisation.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure smooth software-hardware integration and troubleshoot issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and maintain high standards for project execution.

- Competitive Salary: Annual compensation starts at INR 4,92,000 (~INR 41,000/month). During probation (2 months), in-hand salary is INR 25,000, increasing up to INR 40,000 based on performance. Remaining salary covers accommodation, training, and team-building activities.

Qualifications:
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Embedded Software, IoT, and Electronics.
- Experience in FreeRTOS applications or C programming for embedded systems.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
Problem-Solving Abilities
- Skilled in diagnosing complex engineering challenges and implementing innovative solutions.
Collaborative Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities; experience in managing project workflows.
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in water management or climate science is an added advantage.
