- Providing open-source platforms to NGOs.
- Building tech capacity within non-profits.
- Offering tools like the Glific chatbot, Dalgo data management system, and Avni data collection tool.
- Enhancing tech capabilities through the Fractional CxO Program.
About The Role
The Engineering Lead will oversee platform development, SaaS deployment, and maintain high operational standards. This position aligns with agile and user-centered methodologies, ensuring robust documentation, testing, and CI/CD practices. The Engineering Lead will contribute to open-source initiatives, mentor the team, and uphold design and operational best practices.
Location: Remote
Salary range: ₹16-24 Lakh p.a., based on experience and skills.
Key Qualifications & Experiences
- Engineering degree with 4+ years in technology.
- Social sector experience (work or volunteer).
- Expertise in SaaS platforms with open-source technologies.
- 4+ years in a tech role, with at least 2 years in leadership (architect/manager).
- Strong background in engineering, project management, and problem-solving.
- Experience with React Native, JavaScript, and Elixir.
- Skilled in open-source frameworks, testing, and code quality.
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to produce maintainable, high-quality production code.
- Experience in code review and automated testing.
- Strong problem-solving and architectural design skills.
- Team mentorship and support for junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the technical roadmap.
- Lead the engineering team in product and platform enhancements.
- Engage with users iteratively to address needs.
- Coordinate with product managers and support teams to ensure quality.
- Manage consulting projects and timelines.
- Identify and manage partnerships for open-source application development.
Work Location & Travel Requirements
- Remote work with monthly local team meetings.
- Quarterly travel for a week for team meetings.
- Occasional travel to NGO offices, typically once or twice per quarter.
