Role
A unique opportunity to join Azim Premji University’s School of Continuing Education and University Resource Centre (SCE-URC) to build capacity within the development ecosystem. This role focuses on designing, delivering, and monitoring training programmes that strengthen civil society organisations and government functionaries across thematic areas of human and social development.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver high-quality training programmes tailored to stakeholder needs.
- Collaborate with domain experts and teams to co-create effective learning experiences.
- Curate and customise learning materials, curriculum outlines, and implementation strategies.
- Lead capacity-building workshops and orient visiting faculty and organisational leaders.
- Monitor content effectiveness and ensure timely submission of participant data and reports.
- Initiate new course development based on emerging capacity needs.
- Contribute to other capacity development initiatives within SCE-URC.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in any discipline; MBA in General or Rural Management is preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in senior management overseeing finance, HR, governance, compliance, and programmes.
- Experience founding or scaling organisations and mentoring entrepreneurs.
- Knowledge of compliance, financial management, and fundraising is desirable.
- Proven ability to manage teams and large organisational verticals.
- Ability to develop and deliver curriculum and short courses in English and Hindi for CSO management-level functionaries.
- Strong critical thinking, reflection, and communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work collaboratively.
Desirable
- Experience in HR capacity building, organisational restructuring, or re-visioning.
- Established networks within India’s civil society sector.
