Project Tech4Dev
Project Tech4Dev exists to amplify the impact of non-profits through technology. They act as a high-performing tech enabler, providing solutions that range from open-source platforms like Glific and Avni to building internal technical capacity. Their goal is to equip organizations with the right digital tools to streamline their work. Through their Fractional CxO Program, they place seasoned technology professionals within NGOs to lead data and tech strategies, ensuring these organizations can scale their impact effectively.
Fractional CxO
You will serve as a senior technology leader for one or more NGOs, acting as their Chief Technology or Data Officer. This strategic role involves diagnosing technical needs and guiding non-profits through digital transformation to improve their operational efficiency and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive tech and data strategies aligned with the NGO's goals.
- Improve organizational processes to enhance decision-making and operational effectiveness.
- Oversee the design and implementation of software development projects.
- Mentor internal teams to build their capacity in using technological tools.
- Identify and manage relationships with external partners and vendors for application deployment.
- Lead teams to identify business needs and close process gaps using technology.
Requirements
- Engineering degree with at least 12 years of experience in technology.
- Minimum of 3 years in a strategic or managerial role; experience as a Principal Engineer or Architect is a plus.
- Prior experience working or volunteering in the social sector is essential.
- Strong ability to build relationships and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Experience in estimating and delivering software projects or managing products.
- Familiarity with cloud computing, modern software systems, and open-source technologies.
- Willingness to travel quarterly for team meetings and to NGO offices as needed.
