VOPA
Vowels of the People Association is a non-profit company. We strive to provides Joyous, meaningful education with self-respect and equal opportunity to underserved school children via the V-School teaching-learning system and NIPUN Maharashtra for SCERT with a reach of 60L students. Till now we
have reached more than 30 lakh school students in Maharashtra via V-School. We also drive digital transformation for other non-profits, such as Parivartan Trust-through app MYCA, a Mental Health Ecosystem.
We created V-School - a free mobile App to supplement school learning for grade 1st to 10th students. The app is an open technology ecosystem for all education stakeholders. Our App has been downloaded 16 lakh times from Google play store. We work at the intersection of Education and Governance systems with ability to scale nationwide. We work with various district education departments and now officially with SCERT. We have been supported by Unltd India, Edumentum, and ACT Grants.
About the Role
Location: Kothrud, Pune

Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop intuitive and responsive user interfaces using React Native
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth integration with backend APIs (Django/Python)
- Optimize app performance, UI/UX responsiveness, and accessibility
- Implement front-end testing (unit, integration, usability testing)
- Contribute to design discussions, wireframes, and user feedback loops
Desirable Skill Set:
- Proficiency in React Native (0.75 or above preferred)
- Strong understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript (preferred) & backend
concepts (especially Django/REST APIs) - Familiarity with API integration, mobile UI frameworks, and accessibility standards
- Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
- Basic knowledge of backend concepts
- Familiarity with cloud deployment (AWS)
- Minimum 2 Years of experience
