Role
Join WELL Labs’ Platforms & Partnerships team as a Full-Stack Developer and help build robust, cutting-edge solutions in a collaborative setting. This role offers the chance to work on GIS, cloud, AI technologies and interactive mapping, supporting partners on diverse technology projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React.js, Vite, TailwindCSS, Leaflet, and React-Leaflet
- Build robust backend APIs with Django REST Framework and Python
- Design, optimise, and manage PostgreSQL databases; implement complex queries and migrations
- Deploy applications on AWS RDS and Google Cloud; optimise infrastructure and costs
- Containerise and automate deployments with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
- Integrate AI-powered code help and manage scalable data processes
- Ensure high application performance, error handling, and effective caching strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Expert-level skill in React.js, Vite, TailwindCSS, Recoil/Redux, Leaflet/React-Leaflet
- Advanced backend skills: Django, REST APIs, JWT authentication, Python
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL, Django ORM, and database optimisation
- Hands-on knowledge of AWS RDS, Google App Engine, Google Earth Engine
- Proficiency with Docker, CI/CD, Github and AI integrations
- Some exposure to GIS and Remote Sensing is desirable
- Ability to work well in a collaborative, ownership-driven environment
