SNEHA
SNEHA (Society for Nutrition, Education and Health Action) is a Mumbai-based NGO working to improve the health, nutrition, and safety of women and children in urban informal settlements. Established in 1999 by a group of dedicated neonatologists and social workers, SNEHA focuses on bridging the health equity gap through a continuum of care approach spanning reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health. The organisation partners closely with vulnerable communities and public health systems, delivering evidence-based programmes to reduce maternal and child mortality, prevent malnutrition, and address gender-based violence. Their pioneering work extends to palliative care, adolescent empowerment, and training health workers, making them a vital force for health equity in urban India.
Role
The Fundraising domain is responsible for fundraising activities within SNEHA for both program and non-program funding. The domain is also responsible for donor relationship management along with the respective program teams. The Fundraising Coordinator will support the execution of SNEHA’s fundraising plan through donor engagement, proposal submissions, event management, and coordination with internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Reach out and engage with retail donors, CSR, foundations, HNIs, prospective donors
- Manage donor database and ensure timely donor communication
- Lead fundraising events, campaigns, including online crowdfunding, school/college collaborations and other offline/online events as well as site visits
- Plan and execute employee and volunteer engagement activities such as marathons, annual fundraisers and donor roundtables.
- Coordinate with program and communications teams for proposals and reports
Requirements
- Postgraduate degree (MSW/Development preferred)
- At least 2-3 years' experience in fundraising/development sector/services industry
- Strong communication, analytical, and coordination skills
