About the Role
Location: Delhi
Travel: Field visits required
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
The Head, Data Systems will lead TAF’s data collection, analysis, and reporting initiatives. The role involves collaborating with program teams to measure impact, innovate monitoring tools, and contribute to program design. This position also requires leadership, technical expertise, and strategic insights.
Key Responsibilities
Program Monitoring
- Lead a team to develop and manage frameworks for data collection, quality control, and reporting.
- Identify and track indicators aligned with the Theory of Change.
- Manage and innovate TAF’s monitoring systems, including transitioning to a new database.
Data-Driven Insights and Impact Analysis
- Create program dashboards for real-time insights.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to Program Directors for decision-making.
- Distill program data for reports to donors and external stakeholders.
Strategic and Operational Leadership
- Oversee the transition to and continuous improvement of the DBMS.
- Collaborate with leadership to use data insights for decision-making and program strategy.
- Represent TAF in external events and partnerships.
Team Management
- Mentor and coach team members on data systems and processes.
- Train program teams on data analysis and interpretation techniques.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Master’s in Public Health, Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Population Studies, or related fields.
Experience:
- 8+ years in managing data systems in mid to large social sector organisations.
- Experience in public health and program evaluations is preferred.
Skills:
- Expertise in statistical tools like SPSS, STATA, NVivo, and data tools like ODK, PowerBi, and Google Data Studio.
- Familiarity with theories like Logical Framework, Theory of Change, and Impact Evaluation.
- Excellent communication skills for structured and impactful reporting.
