Role

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an innovative IT strategy aligned with SMGC’s humanitarian mission
• Oversee IT infrastructure, systems management, networks, cybersecurity, and cloud-based platforms
• Implement and ensure compliance with IT policies and data security standards
• Collaborate with leadership to assess needs and deliver digital solutions across departments
• Manage IT budgets and allocate resources efficiently
• Lead, mentor, and grow the IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning
• Identify emerging technology trends and lead adoption where impactful
• Manage vendor relationships and partnerships for IT services
• Drive IT projects from conception through timely, cost-effective implementation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related (Master’s preferred)
• 15+ years’ IT leadership (preferably in the social sector)
• Deep expertise in IT systems, networks, cybersecurity, and enterprise software
• Strong project, budget, and people management skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
• Commitment to SMGC’s values and mission
