About the Role
We're seeking a Head of Data Operations to take on a critical leadership position at Karya. You'll work closely with multiple teams to lead our daily data operations, managing a large workforce while ensuring efficiency, empathy, and high-quality data production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 100,000+ data workers
- Diagnose and improve weak links in data operations
- Ensure seamless communication between operations and other teams
- Oversee all aspects of operations planning and execution
- Collaborate with Impact team to meet impact criteria and worker welfare standards
- Identify opportunities for tech-based automation and process improvements
- Make data-driven suggestions for enhancing data pipeline and Karya application
- Align operational strategies with company goals
- Support COO in managing overall Operations strategy
- Represent Karya externally to further partnerships and evangelize our work

Requirements
- Post-graduate or graduate degree
- 5+ years leading large-scale operations (100,000+ people)
- High data literacy, experience with data pipelines and large datasets
- Strong team management skills, BPO or gig-work experience a plus
- Understanding of "lean ops" and technology integration
- Knowledge of social impact space in India
- Ability to create collaborative environments across diverse teams
- Willingness to embrace ambiguity and continuous learning
- 40% travel across India
