Role

A field-oriented leadership position dedicated to fighting Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) like diabetes and cancer. You will bridge the gap between government health systems and rural families to ensure everyone gets the screening and care they need.

Responsibilities

  • Lead block-level planning by collaborating with medical officers to create action plans for health interventions.
  • Coordinate with frontline workers like ASHAs and Anganwadi workers to improve health screening and patient follow-ups.
  • Manage community engagement by working with Self-Help Groups and local leaders to raise health awareness.
  • Support capacity building through on-site training for health staff on screening protocols and patient counseling.
  • Monitor key health indicators, ensuring timely documentation of screening coverage and treatment adherence.
  • Facilitate field implementation by traveling to villages and health centers to solve operational challenges.

Requirements

  • Post-Graduate degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Management, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in public health, community development, or primary healthcare programs.
  • Fluency in local languages and English to communicate effectively with community members and officials.
  • Strong technical skills in digital tracking, data monitoring, and block-level reporting.
  • Exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills with a willingness to travel extensively in rural areas.
  • Prior experience working within NHM or SRLM structures is highly preferred.
