  • Identify and improve services that enhance access for Deaf/HH visitors.
  • Build partnerships with Deaf/HH organisations, schools, and networks.
  • Create ISL-based content for MAP’s digital platforms.
  • Ensure ISL translations and interpreted content are accurate and clear.
  • Schedule and manage ISL interpreters for meetings, events, and public programmes.
  • Lead ISL-accessible tours, walkthroughs, and events for Deaf/HH audiences.
  • Plan and deliver ISL programming for initiatives like the International Week of Deaf People (IWDP).

Administrative & General Support

  • Maintain documentation, records, and vendor communications.
  • Support the Inclusion Department’s wider efforts beyond ISL as required.

Requirements

  • This role is primarily intended for a Deaf candidate with lived experience, but other applicants with the ability to deliver ISL-related responsibilities will be considered.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in accessibility, Deaf/ISL inclusion, or community engagement.
  • Proficiency in Indian Sign Language (native user or strong fluency preferred).
  • Strong organisational skills for managing interpreters, events, and content schedules.
  • Comfortable working across teams and with external partners.
  • Experience collaborating with Deaf/HH organisations and schools.
  • Basic digital literacy (email, file sharing, virtual meetings).
  • Good written/typed communication skills in English.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to shape accessibility in a leading cultural institution.
  • Collaborative, inclusive work environment.
