PxD is seeking a self-motivated Intern - AI to contribute to innovative projects providing customized agricultural advisory to millions of smallholder farmers in India. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with large language models (LLMs), real-time data integration, and farmer-centric testing.
Responsibilities
- Test generative AI tools through desk-based and field-based evaluations.
- Conduct ‘Lab-in-the-Field’ testing to assess AI tools in real-world contexts.
- Gather farmer feedback on AI tools via focus group discussions, interviews, surveys, and A/B testing.
- Ensure inclusivity by considering the experiences of women farmers and marginalized groups during the testing process.
- Write reports and blogs summarizing findings and insights.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate should have:
- A Bachelor’s or ongoing graduate degree in public policy, development studies, or related fields (e.g., economics, MPA, MPP).
- Experience conducting fieldwork in rural areas or gathering user feedback.
- Proficiency in managing and cleaning large datasets.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
- Interest in AI tools and their application in smallholder farming.
