About the Role
The internship role supports the reporting, data visualization, and design efforts for IFRC network country plans and reports. Responsibilities include research, data management, design support, and administrative duties, all aimed at ensuring efficient reporting processes at the IFRC’s Global Strategic Planning and Reporting Centre.

Job Responsibilities
Research and Content Support:
- Assist with research and document updates, working closely with lead/reporting officers.
- Insert hyperlinks and ensure alignment with IFRC policies and strategies in final documents.
- Provide proofreading and copy-editing support.
Data and Visualization Support:
- Extract and consolidate data on people reached, implementation indicators, and financial data.
- Create data visualizations to clearly present key information.
- Work on report layout and design adjustments in coordination with the Design Officer.
Administrative Support:
- Track production processes as guided by the centre’s lead.
- Undertake various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations within the centre.
Qualifications
Education
- University or advanced degree in relevant fields such as political science, journalism, sociology, anthropology, graphic design, data science, econometrics, or statistics.
Experience:
- Proficient in drafting and editing plans, reports, and articles.
- Knowledge of data management systems and data extraction for analysis and visualization.
- Familiarity with graphic design and report layout techniques.
Skills and Competencies:
- Advanced skills in software such as PowerPoint, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Proficient in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and layout software.
- Understanding of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement or international development work.
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills in English (French, Spanish, or Arabic are a plus).
