Role
The Data & Operations Intern will support the Volunteer Program team under the National HR vertical. This role involves assisting with volunteer recruitment, engagement, and data management to enhance the volunteer experience and program impact.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to volunteer queries via email and WhatsApp
- Host engagement sessions and feedback spaces for volunteers
- Maintain smooth and timely communication with volunteers
- Perform data hygiene checks using dashboards; flag and escalate issues
- Compile monthly volunteer activity reports and track program metrics
- Match volunteers to assignments based on their skills and preferences
- Support Fellows’ requests regarding volunteer-related adjustments
- Improve program workflows and processes to increase efficiency
- Experiment with creative methods to boost volunteer engagement and motivation
- Conduct volunteer debrief sessions to discuss future pathways and engagement
Requirements
- Basic proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
- Advanced proficiency in any data analysis software
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills
- Collaborative approach to streamline program operations
- Ability to set and meet operational targets
- Analytical mindset for generating actionable program insights
- Attention to detail in data management
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Passion for operational excellence and social impact
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Laptop required
- Time commitment: 6 to 7 hours daily, five days a week
- Preference for candidates who have volunteered with Teach For India before (not mandatory)
- Preferably based out of Mumbai
