About the Role
Location: Bangalore North Rural, Karnataka
Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
- IT Infrastructure Management: Maintain and troubleshoot office networks, servers, and workstations.
- User Support: Provide technical support for employees, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Security & Compliance: Implement cybersecurity measures, manage access controls, and ensure data security.
- Hardware & Software Maintenance: Install, update, and maintain office IT equipment, software licenses, and systems.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with third-party vendors for procurement, repairs, and IT service agreements.
- Office Administration: Manage IT assets, set up new workstations, and support remote work infrastructure.
- Backup & Recovery: Ensure data backup policies are followed and disaster recovery plans are in place.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain IT documentation, track issues, and report on system performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT administration and office IT support.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with networking, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud-based services.
- Familiarity with IT security best practices and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Google Workspace, Office 365, and cloud administration.
- Prior experience managing IT in a corporate office environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field, with proven IT experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple software/technology projects across locations.
- Total IT experience of 6-8 years, with exposure to web/mobile application technologies.
- Familiarity with project management tools (JIRA, Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project, etc.), preferably open-source.
- Experience with GIT, Gitbook, and similar tools.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Strong presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and business leaders.
- Experience in small-organization settings, demonstrating teamwork and resourcefulness.
- Ability to work independently and proactively, with minimal supervision.
- Prior exposure to the urban governance sector, public sector, development sector, or consulting is an added advantage.
- Good verbal and written fluency in English.
- Experience with Java and open-source technologies is a significant plus.
- Ability to synthesize and consolidate information from different teams.
- Experience leading teams in end-to-end development and implementation.
