WELL Labs is a research and implementation organisation working on sustainable water and land solutions for rural communities in India. The organisation focuses on improving water access, irrigation efficiency, and groundwater health through field-based engineering interventions and evidence-driven approaches.

Role

Support end-to-end site engineering for rural water infrastructure projects in Devadurga, Raichur. The role involves design support, field supervision, data collection, and project documentation for initiatives that improve irrigation access and water security for farming communities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing engineering designs, drawings, and project layouts.
• Coordinate and monitor day-to-day field execution activities.
• Supervise labour teams and ensure smooth progress of site work.
• Track project progress and provide regular site updates and reports.
• Conduct site surveys, measurements, inspections, and field data collection.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, measurement sheets, and execution records.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, clients, and local stakeholders for project activities.
• Ensure work execution is carried out as per approved drawings, standards, and timelines.
• Assist in resolving field-level technical and operational issues during execution.
• Monitor material usage, manpower deployment, and site resource management.
• Support quality checks and ensure safety compliance at project sites.
• Travel to project locations as required for site supervision and coordination.

Requirements

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification is required.
• Freshers or candidates with 0–2 years of experience can apply for this position.
• Should have basic knowledge of engineering drawings and site execution activities.
• Should possess good communication and coordination skills.
• Applicant should be proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and basic reporting tools.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar engineering software will be an added advantage.
• Should be capable of managing multiple activities and coordinating with field teams effectively.
• Candidate must be able to speak and communicate effectively in Kannada, as the role involves regular interaction with local labour teams, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Candidate should be willing to work in field conditions and travel frequently to project sites.
