About the Role
The Junior Program Associate will support WRI India’s Energy Program in addressing key challenges in India’s energy sector. The role involves conducting policy, regulatory, and technical analyses to contribute to India’s clean energy transition.
Location: Delhi, India
Duration: 1 year (extendable based on performance and project needs)
Salary: ₹7,50,000 CTC per annum (inclusive of benefits)
Responsibilities
- Analytical Work
- Conduct techno-economic analyses and policy/regulatory reviews.
- Analyse government budgets, energy balances, and renewable energy planning.
- Contribute to renewable energy financing instrument design.
- Engagement with Decision-Makers
- Provide innovative policy insights to WRI India’s team.
- Assist senior colleagues in building relationships with key stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Coordination
- Prepare proposals, concept notes, and discussion papers.
- Support and organise stakeholder engagement events like roundtables and workshops.
- Represent WRI India at relevant meetings, conferences, and events.
Qualifications
Experience
- 1-2 years in the energy sector, with a focus on policy analysis, regulations, or renewable energy.
Educational Background
- Master’s degree in energy, engineering, or related fields (e.g., Energy Efficiency, Clean Energy, Environmental Economics).
Skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Python, R, or other programming tools is a plus.
- Ability to handle large datasets.
