Kiwaad Foundation

Kiwaad Foundation

Kiwaad Foundation began with a simple yet revolutionary goal: to create pathways to employment and sustained livelihood for India’s underserved youth. From its base in Kanpur, the organisation has grown to become a catalyst for change, deeply rooted in local communities while maintaining a national vision.

At its core, Kiwaad believes skills change lives. Many young Indians are eager to work and learn but lack access to formal education or industry-relevant skills. Kiwaad steps in as a bridge, offering sector-specific training tailored to what employers actually seek. Through centres in cities like Lucknow, Delhi, Mumbai, and Jaipur, the Foundation’s trainers provide clear, supportive learning in digital marketing, retail, BFSI, and more. Course topics are always hands-on—learners start digital ad campaigns, practise real customer communication, and master essential computer tools.

But skill-building is only half the mission. Kiwaad sees employment as about much more than just a payslip. Their team makes it a priority to connect learners with real job opportunities, whether with large companies, SMEs, or through gig work and entrepreneurship. The placement team actively partners with employer networks, runs placement events, and helps students with mock interviews and practical portfolios.

Community comes first at Kiwaad. Mobilisers build strong bonds in neighbourhoods, making sure girls and young women have as much access as the boys. Each centre is a welcoming, inclusive space where youth from all backgrounds find role models, career advice, and the practical support they need—including for those just starting with digital tools.

The impact is tangible. Kiwaad aims to reach one million youth by 2027 and expand its network to 75+ centres nationwide. They track not just job placements but the stories of personal growth—trainees who become the first in their family with a formal income or who return to mentor others. The team’s passion is visible in every local event, parent meeting, and partnership with local NGOs and sector skill councils.

What sets Kiwaad apart is its warmth and adaptability: learning is never just about lectures, but about live projects, group challenges, and real-world achievements. Industry partnerships guide every programme, ensuring relevance and success. Trainers receive continuous professional development, and alumni have access to support even after their first job.

Kiwaad Foundation isn’t just opening doors; it is changing the meaning of what’s possible for an entire generation.
